Background Outlook and its infrastructure provide a rich environment for implementing add-on applications such as NEO. However, some actions are simply not possible or very difficult because of defects and deficiencies in the programming interface provided to us by Microsoft. We forward many operations along to Outlook to perform for us, and in many cases it’s not possible to control how these operations are performed.
We appreciate that this makes some actions awkward, and we’d love to fix them (we often do), but can’t in every case. Although we continually look for solutions, here are some of the things we currently can’t easily fix.

Previous and next buttons don't work on the message window: As an add-in to Outlook, Microsoft does not make these commands available to us. However, we do have a Previous and Next button on our Message Preview pane. You can also go to Previous and Next messages using the Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down keys.
Cursor incorrectly lands in Subject field: This is a Microsoft automation defect in the launching of the Outlook email editor. Tab must be pressed to move the cursor into the body of the message.
Outlook’s New mail envelope in the system tray does not clear when mail is received: In Outlook 2002 or above you can disable it in Outlook Options.
Print options can't be set in NEO: NEO uses the settings currently set up in Outlook. You can choose print options for selected message(s) if you open the message then choose Print on the File menu.
Spellcheck does not ignore text from the original message: In Outlook, only the new message text is spell-checked. In NEO, all words are checked. We have no control over this feature.
Signature is sometimes duplicated: This occurs in some older versions of Outlook. To avoid this, change your options in Outlook to not automatically insert your signature.
